FlowBiz Fire-Safe Certified Valves: Proven Reliability Under Extreme Heat

In critical industries like Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals, a valve’s ability to maintain its seal during a fire can prevent a minor incident from becoming a catastrophe. At FlowBiz Exports, we take fire safety seriously. Our valves are Fire-Test Certified by Bureau Veritas, ensuring they meet the most rigorous API and ISO standards for fire-safe performance.

The FlowBiz Fire Testing Process

To guarantee that our valves provide a reliable shut-off during emergency conditions, we subject them to intense thermal stress in a controlled testing environment:

  • Extreme Temperature Exposure: The valve is engulfed in a direct flame with temperatures ranging from 761°C to 980°C (1400°F to 1800°F).
  • Duration & Pressure: We maintain these extreme temperatures for a specified duration while the valve is under pressure to simulate a real-world refinery or plant fire.
  • Sealing Verification: We monitor both internal and external leakage. The test verifies that even if the primary soft seals are destroyed, the valve’s secondary metal-to-metal seals prevent the fuel from feeding the fire.
  • Operability Post-Burn: After the fire is extinguished and the valve is cooled, we test its ability to be operated, ensuring it can still be opened or closed by emergency personnel.

Why Choose FlowBiz Fire-Safe Valves?

  • Bureau Veritas Certified: Our testing is witnessed and certified by one of the world's leading inspection bodies, providing global credibility.
  • Compliance with Global Standards: We adhere to API 607, API 6FA, and ISO 10497
  • Secondary Sealing Protection: Our design features integrated metal-to-metal seating that activates once soft seals melt, ensuring a "bubble-tight" shut-off when it matters most.
  • Enhanced Plant Safety: Installing FlowBiz fire-safe valves significantly reduces the risk of hazardous fluid leaks during emergency fire scenarios.
