Double-Offset Butterfly Valve (High Performance)

The defining characteristic of the FlowBiz Double-Offset Valve is its eccentric shaft design. By moving the shaft away from the center of the disc and the pipeline, the valve creates a "cam action" during operation. This allows the disc to lift off the seat immediately upon opening, drastically reducing friction and torque requirements.

The Two Offsets Explained:

  1. 1st Offset: The axis of the shaft is positioned behind the centerline of the disc’s sealing point. This allows for a continuous $360^{\circ}$ sealing surface.
  2. 2nd Offset: The axis of the shaft is eccentric to the vertical centerline of the valve and pipeline. This creates the "cam-to-seat" action, where the disc unseats with minimal rotation, preventing seat deformation.
