FlowBiz Pot Type Strainers (also known as Chamber Type or Large-Capacity Basket Strainers) are heavy-duty industrial filtration vessels engineered specifically for high-flow liquid lines, cooling water circuits, and heavy-viscosity process fluids. Featuring an expanded cylindrical pot chamber and a oversized removable basket, these strainers provide a significantly larger dirt-holding area compared to standard Y-type strainers, allowing systems to operate longer between cleaning cycles with exceptionally low differential pressure drop.
Unique Mechanical Engineering & Operational Features
- Voluminous Chamber Pot Design: The expanded cylindrical vessel creates a high-volume internal chamber that slows down fluid velocity upon entry, allowing heavy solid particulates to settle naturally into the basket base.
- Extended Dirt-Holding Capacity: Houses an oversized stainless steel basket element that maximizes filtration surface area, preventing rapid mesh blinding in heavily contaminated or high-viscosity fluid applications.
- Top-Opening Quick-Access Cover: Designed with top-entry bolted or quick-opening swing-bolt covers, allowing operators to easily lift out, wash, and inspect the basket element without disassembling main pipeline flanged connections.
- Integrated Drain & Vent Ports: Equipped with top air vent plugs and bottom vessel drain valves to safely depressurize and purge accumulated sludge prior to chamber opening.
